Slowpitch softball day for Halloween
Last Saturday, 28 October, Ciudad Deportiva Amaya hosted a slowpitch softball day to celebrate Halloween, all as part of the European Playing for Refuge project.
The event included two slowpitch softball league matches that pitted Cardinales against Arga Frogs -the latter winning 2-13- and Toros against Amaya -the former winning by 9-1-, and those attending, some 80 people, many in fancy dress, also enjoyed a picnic and music.
The new director general of Migration Policies, Marisol de la Nava Martín, the new managing director of the Navarre Sports Institute, Jorge Aguirre Oviedo, and the head of CEAR in Navarre, Thibault De Lucas, had the honour of throwing the first pitch.
The atmosphere throughout the day was excellent and those with the most original costumes were gifted with a backpack, pencil case, notebook, baseball cap and baseball.
