First training session on refuge and intercultural coexistence
The first training session on refuge and intercultural coexistence for the Playing for Refuge project will take place on Friday, 15 March. On this occasion, the activity is specifically aimed at technical staff at the Baseball and Softball Federation of Navarre and the staff at baseball clubs.
Taught by members of the Spanish Commission for Refugees (CEAR) and the Spanish Red Cross, the four-hour training session will tackle such issues as the right to asylum (the Spanish Immigration Act and the asylum procedure), refugees and the migration phenomenon (who come, why they come, how they get here and where they go), the reception programme in Spain (the reception pathways and psychological factors) and intercultural coexistence (the policies and programmes in place for the social inclusion of refugees and community-related issues involved in social inclusion).
Anyone interested in attending the event should register by writing to migraciones.europa@navarra.es.
