Objectives of the Playing for Refuge project
- To facilitate the participation of refugees in grassroots and professional sports through baseball and softball clubs and teams.
- To conduct training activities for trainers, personnel and athletes on subjects relating to asylum and refugee processes and on intercultural coexistence and inclusion through sport.
- To promote the vocational integrationof refugees through training for jobs as trainers, referees and scoring, and also to promote learning Spanish through sport.
- To create spaces for getting to know one another and for intercultural coexistence in sport and in free time, between the refugee families and the host society.
- To identify and disseminate best practices in order to improve integration and intercultural coexistence in other sports federations in Navarre, Spain and Europe.
